Randy Porter started R.K. Porter general contracting in 1990. Over the years, he has shifted the company’s focus from commercial and industrial construction to custom home and cottage building to meet the demands of his commercial clients who were looking to upgrade their current homes or have new upper-class cottages built. R.K. Porter has built countless numbers of custom homes and cottages throughout Ontario’s cities and cottage country.
In 2005, R.K. Porter began doing restaurant and food service renovations, successfully completing upwards of 20 food service locations from Cornwall to Dryden in a year and continuing in an upward scale.

Aqua Terra Exuma Project
R.K. Porter completed construction of Aqua Terra Exuma, a five-bedroom villa located on Exuma Island in the Bahamas. This was quite the challenging project for the simple fact that the job site is 7,500 km from head office. Completed and currently accepting reservations, this villa is a beautiful place to take a holiday.
As the needs of construction clients change now and in the future, R.K Porter General Contracting Inc. is prepared to change and adapt with them. In the coming years, R.K. Porter looks to expand and grow. Future projects include custom homes in the Ottawa and surrounding areas, new and existing clients of the food industry and commercial buildings for a variety of clients from various industries.
